Drake Law students graduate with some experience in the practice of law.

Drake’s First-Year Trial Practicum — the only one of its kind in the nation — puts students in the courtroom, where for one week, they observe a jury trial and participate in Q&A sessions with the judge, attorneys and members of the jury.
Students get involved in public service through public interest fellowships and nearly 20 other internships.
Drake Law students have won victories in the courts for Legal Clinic clients and assisted in the research and preparation of a case argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ranked No. 16 on the National Jurist technology honor roll.
Certificate programs in Constitutional Law & Civil Rights, Legislative Practice, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Food and Agricultural Law prepare students for practice.
