Sociology of law

Sociology of law include to both a sub-branch of sociology and an approach within the field of legal studies. Sociology of law, analyzes human behavior in society in so far as it is resolved by normally distinguished ethical-legal norms, and in so far as it influences them. It is a various field of study which examines the relations of law with other characteristics of society: such as the consequence of legal institutions, doctrines, and practices on other social phenomena and vice versa. Some of its areas of investigation incorporate the social growth of legal institutions, the social structure of legal issues, and the relation of law to social alter. Sociology of law overlaps with economic analysis of law, jurisprudence and more specialized topics such as criminology.
