Constitutional and administrative law
Constitutional Law is interested with the system of government of the country: how governmental power is distributed; how those entrusted with such powers are designated and the extent to which their powers can be held in check. Constitutional law interests both the relationships between the executive, legislature and judiciary and the human rights or civil liberties of individuals against the state. Some jurisdictions, like the United States and France, have a single codified constitution, with a Bill of Rights. A few, like the United Kingdom, have no such document; in those jurisdictions the constitution is collected of statute, case law and assembly. Administrative Law is a ' variation' of this, focused on the control of governmental powers in the courts.
