Court Reporter


A court reporter needs to catch every word that is said during a court proceeding. This means that he or she needs to be able to type incredibly fast, around 225 wpm. To achieve this, court reporters use special typing machines called stenotype machines. Court reporters go through special typing training to learn how to achieve such fast typing speeds.
